Dairy management software

Know your cost per litre. Every day.

Lactra follows the milk — from the animal that produced it to the buyer who paid for it. Herd records, milk collection, quality testing and farmer payments in one system. Works offline, on the phone you already own.

The problem

Most dairy software stops at the shed gate

Herd software tracks your animals. Collection software tracks your cans. Neither one tells you what a litre actually costs, or where the litres went.

So the numbers live in three places — a register at the shed, a notebook at the collection centre, and a spreadsheet somebody rebuilds at month end. By the time those figures meet, the month is over and the losses have already happened.

You can feel the problems. A cow that has dropped off. A shed eating more than it should. Milk that does not add up on Friday. But you cannot prove them or price them, so they run for months.

Lactra is one system for the whole chain

Every litre carries its history: which animal produced it, on which shift, what it cost to produce, what fat it tested at, what it sold for, and who got paid for it.

Difference

Four things nobody else in this market does

It reads your milk analyzer

Ekomilk, Lactoscan and Milkotester, connected over RS232 or USB. Fat, SNF, CLR and added water land in the record automatically, in under three seconds. No typing, no transcription errors, no arguments at payout.

Every reading is stored raw alongside the value actually used, so a dispute is settled by looking at the record rather than by memory. No other vendor serving Pakistan integrates with any device at all.

See supported hardware

It works with no signal

A collection centre at 6am with forty farmers queuing cannot wait for a network. Lactra runs a full shift offline — weigh, test, price, print, close — and syncs when the signal returns. Collection records and payments are append-only, so nothing merges wrong and nothing is lost.

Buffalo is a species, not a checkbox

Buffalo is the majority of Pakistan's milk, and most of the world's dairy software treats it as a cattle variant with a different label. Lactra gives buffalo its own lactation curves, its own standard fat, its own breeding intervals and its own benchmarks — Nili Ravi, Kundi, Murrah and crosses, recorded properly.

Lactra for buffalo farms

Urdu a farmer can actually read

A full right-to-left interface, Urdu on the printed slip a supplier takes home, and Urdu on the SMS that tells them what they are owed. Written by people who speak it, not run through a translator.

Pricing

Priced so a 30-animal farm can afford it

Free for the first 20 animals, permanently. $12 a month after that. Collection centres from $39 a month whatever the supplier count — because charging you more for growing is a strange way to run a business.

No card for the trial. Cancel any time. All features on every paid plan.

“We were reconciling milk on paper and finding the losses three weeks late. Now the variance shows up the same evening. That change alone paid for the software in the first month.”

Questions

Common questions

Does Lactra work without internet?

Yes. Full offline operation for herd records and milk collection. Everything queues locally and syncs when the connection returns. A collection centre can run an entire shift with no signal and lose nothing.

Which milk analyzers does it support?

Ekomilk, Lactoscan and Milkotester over RS232 or USB, with Everest, Ksheera and Lactostar in progress. Manual entry is always available as a fallback, and every device reading is stored raw alongside the value used.

Does it handle buffalo?

Yes, as a first-class species — separate lactation curves, standard fat percentages, breeding intervals and benchmarks. Nili Ravi, Kundi, Murrah and crosses.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Up to 20 animals and one user, free permanently — not a trial. Paid plans start at $12 a month.

Can I import my existing records?

Yes, from Excel or CSV, with a downloadable template, a validation preview and per-row error reporting before anything is committed.

Do I own my data?

Yes, and you can export all of it in open formats at any time, including after you cancel. It is written into the contract.
