Milk collection software

Milk collection software that finishes a supplier in 45 seconds

Weigh, test, price, print and pay — with fat and SNF read straight from your analyzer. Works with no internet. Payouts that reconcile to the rupee, with advances netted automatically.

The problem

Four hundred calculations, and the errors surface at payout

A 500-litre centre with 40 suppliers generates around 400 arithmetic operations per 10-day cycle.

Weights converted to litres. Fat read off the analyzer. Rate looked up against a chart. Deductions netted. Advances recovered.

Every one of them done by hand, at speed, twice a day, by someone who also has forty farmers queuing. The mistakes don't surface when they're made — they surface at payout, in front of the supplier, as an argument about money. That is how centres lose farmers.

The flow

How a shift runs

1 · Identify

Supplier code, name search, or an RFID card. One keystroke.

2 · Weigh

From a connected platform scale, or typed. Kilograms convert to litres on your own density factor.

3 · Test

Fat, SNF, CLR, protein and added water read from your analyzer in under three seconds. Manual and Gerber entry always available.

4 · Price

The applicable rate chart applies automatically and the rate shows on screen before you commit.

5 · Print

A 58mm slip in Urdu with quantity, fat, SNF, rate, amount and running balance.

6 · Next

Under 45 seconds start to finish. Keyboard only if you prefer — no mouse, no touch.

At close: total litres, total value, supplier count, average fat and SNF, and the variance against your can measure.

Hardware

It reads your analyzer

We don't sell hardware. We integrate with what you already own.

Milk analyzers

Ekomilk, Lactoscan, Milkotester over RS232 or USB. Everest, Ksheera and Lactostar in progress. Fat, SNF, CLR, protein, lactose and added water captured directly.

Scales

Standard RS232 weight indicators, and platform or can scales over USB-serial.

Slip printers

POS-58 thermal, USB or Bluetooth, with proper Urdu rendering — which is harder than it sounds and is why most vendors skip it.

Weighbridges

Tanker gross, tare and net, reconciled against dispatch.

If a device disconnects mid-shift you fall back to manual entry without stopping. Raw device readings are stored alongside every value used, so a dispute is resolved by looking at the record rather than by argument.

Rate charts

Rate charts that don't rewrite history

Fat-only

Base rate at a standard fat, with a configurable increment per 0.1% deviation. The most common model in Pakistan.

Fat + SNF

A linear formula: (FAT × fat rate) + (SNF × SNF rate) + base. Standard across most Indian cooperatives.

Matrix

A full FAT × SNF lookup grid, imported from the Excel your processor publishes. No re-keying.

Charts are versioned and effective-dated, so changing a rate never alters a collection that already happened. Different charts run at once by species, supplier category, centre and season.

And there is a rate simulator — put in a fat, an SNF and a quantity, and see the rate plus the exact rule path that produced it. That is how you settle a disagreement in thirty seconds.

Payments

Payouts that reconcile, advances that net themselves

Weekly, 10-day, fortnightly or monthly. Select the cycle and Lactra aggregates every collection, applies the versioned rates, nets the deductions and produces a payable list you review before committing.

Advances net automatically — cash, feed, medicine, semen or veterinary services, recovered in full, by fixed instalment, or as a percentage of the payout, whichever you set.

Every payout line links back to the individual collections that produced it, so a supplier disputing a payment can be walked back to the exact can of milk.

The number that pays for the software

Lactra reconciles what a centre collected against what the plant received, per centre, per period.

At PKR 197 a litre, a 3% loss on 500 litres a day is about PKR 1.08 million a year — from one centre.

Most operators know they are losing milk. Very few can say how much, at which centre, on which shift.

Questions

Common questions

Which analyzers work?

Ekomilk, Lactoscan and Milkotester today, over RS232 or USB. Others on request — the driver layer is built for adding models.

What if my analyzer disconnects?

You switch to manual entry and keep going. The entry is tagged as manual so you know later which readings came from the device.

Do you support the Gerber method?

Yes, as a manual source with its own flag, alongside device readings.

Can operators with limited literacy run it?

It is designed for exactly that — Urdu, large targets, keyboard-driven, and about 30 minutes of training to productive.

Can I run multiple centres?

Yes, with consolidated reporting and per-centre comparison of volume, quality and loss.

How much does it cost?

$39 a month per centre, unlimited suppliers. A centre with 80 suppliers pays the same as one with 40.

Run one shift on it

Set up a centre, connect your analyzer, and run one evening shift. You will know within an hour whether it is faster than what you do now.
