Built by people who run a dairy farm
The credibility argument in this market is not “we are a technology company”. It is “we have skin in it”.
Lactra started because one of us owns a 117-animal dairy in Punjab and could not get a straight answer to a simple question: what does a litre cost me?
Every system we looked at did one part of the job. Herd software knew the animals but not the money. Collection software knew the cans but not the cows. Nothing followed the milk from the animal that produced it to the buyer who paid for it, which is the only view that tells you anything.
So the farm became the design partner. Every module is tested against a real shed, a real register and real staff before it ships — including the ones who do not read English, which is how the Urdu interface stopped being a translation exercise and became a design constraint.
We are building it in the open, priced in public, and we will tell you when a competitor does something better than we do.
