Milk recording

Milk recording, per animal, per shift

Three ways to capture it, four ways to categorise where it went, and a balance that actually balances.

Detail

What it does

Three capture modes

A table view listing every milking animal for fast sequential entry; an Excel or CSV import with a template; or one animal at a time. Farms work differently and the software should not argue.

Disposition

Milk is split by where it actually went — saleable, calf feeding, household, staff and mess, discarded with a reason. That is what makes reconciliation possible.

Milk balance

Produced = saleable + calves + consumption + discarded + change in stock. Any unexplained variance is surfaced daily. This is the theft and loss detection owners actually want, and almost nobody ships it.

Milk drop alert

Any animal falling more than a configurable percentage below her own trailing average is flagged. Usually the earliest sign of mastitis.

Lactation analytics

Curve, peak yield, days to peak, persistency, 305-day and 365-day projections, rolling herd average, and energy-corrected milk.

Dispatch

Corporate dispatch capturing LR number, fat, SNF, volume, rate and vehicle; and local dispatch to shops, households and direct customers.

Questions

Common questions

Can I record at bulk level instead of per animal?

Yes, with reconciliation against per-animal totals wherever both exist.

Kilograms or litres?

Either, with a configurable density factor for conversion.

How many shifts?

Morning and evening as standard, with a configurable third shift.
